Simple Ways to Increase Your Cactus
Sales
Are your cacti stuck in a corner, not
in sunlight, without proper plant labels with information and grown
in round pots? If they are, you are losing out on sales.
Most cactus buyers collect these plants like philatelists, and need
to know precisely what they are buying to avoid duplication. A
little thought and reorganisation could do wonders.
1. CHOOSE AN AREA WHICH IS WELL
LIT: It need not necessarily be in the house plant area, but remember
it must be frost free in the winter.
2. COVER THE AREA WITH SHARP
SAND OR GRAVEL.
3. A PROPER DISPLAY: All
the cactus plants that we supply are grown in square pots which enables
the plants to be displayed properly without falling over. Every
plant is computer labelled.
4. HAVE GROWING INSTRUCTION LEAFLETS
AVAILABLE.
5. INCREASE YOUR SALES WITH DISPLAYING
ACCESSORIES: Display Chempac Cactus Fertilizer, cactus compost
and small bags of sand and gravel. Window trays are also an added
sale.
6. OFFER FREE ADVICE AND HELP
TO CUSTOMERS: All our plant labels have our phone number on, as
we operate a free help and advice service for your customers.
Although cacti sell all the year around, peak sale times are in spring
when plants are in flower, and at Christmas when they make attractive
gifts. School holidays and half term times are also busy as children
avidly collect them - stock plenty of the smaller sizes at these times.
